Queen Mary London Trial Investigating a New Devised Based Wearable Treatment for High Blood Pressure

Participants Needed!

SCRATCH-HTN trial is exploring a new way of managing High Blood Pressure.

The trial is looking to determine whether a new wearable technology, worn for 30 min a day, can reduce blood pressure in patients who have raised blood pressure, despite taking medication (uncontrolled hypertension).

The study uses an AffeX device, which gently applies a very small electrical current to the tragus of your ear. The device will be taken home and is self-administered.

The study will aim to assess how effective the device is in the treatment of high blood pressure

The study is recruiting patients at the William Harvey Clinical Research Center (near Farrington station, London)
